This FOREST COLLECTION began in spring 2020 when the Pandemic closed the country and I isolated alone. My life dream of building an art studio was just completed. I began
to paint very longpanoramic triptychs of forests from my drawings, I felt expansive in my isolation. Entering the woods
I felt kinship, and I used colors that vibrated. This show reflects some of mydevelopment and experimentation.
I began with my drawings and watercolor sketches made in the forests. I enlarged them, painting with vibrant colors. Latter I played with color fields spending days in ancient redwood forests. Now, I am being drawn to more abstraction. I am painting the alchemy of light.
