Home is our Sanctuary…

IMG_0534.jpg

Home is our sanctuary, our place of refuge, rest, and rejuvenation. For many now it is also a work space, school, studio, and a place to cook, organize, decorate, and garden around. Having a home and being an artist were two things I desired so much for so long I used to cry at the thought. Now I realize both are in my heart no matter where I am or what I am doing in my life - it is a way of being.

I invite you in very small personal retreats to come home to your own inner artist to create and reconnect to what has heart and meaning in this time of change. I am offering very small in person gatherings in my garden and studio, live workshops online and one-on-one sessions. To create joyfully and to count our blessings is a transformative practice.

What are you grateful for today?

Celebration of Spring

MayDay_Wreath.jpg

My Dear Friends,

This is the time to celebrate the fertility of the earth and our own awakening to our life dreams. We have been in an extended dream time as we cocoon and imagine a new way of being in the world when we fully emerge. We are each on our own vision quest as well as for the entire world community.

Creative play in nature are essential for my spirit, painting, gardening, writing, and singing are transformational. I made this little video to inspire you to make a flower crown to wear or gift someone you love. A flower crown is the symbol of our hallo - Kings and Queens wanted more germinate versions so they had their crowns made of gold and jewels replaced the flowers, but we get to make the real ones that celebrate our love of nature.

Tell me about what you are grateful for - what is bringing you joy right now?

Autumn is such a full, rich season…

smpMonet-fall_Web'.jpg

Autumn is such a full, rich season, its beauty comes from its ripeness and maturity. It is the time of harvest, feasting, celebration, and gratitude for all the abundance. Yet in the midst of bushels of apples and gorgeous leaves - there is the deep realization that at the height of fruition we are also nearing winter. Autumn is the season of letting go, as once again there will be dormancy.

What harvest are you celebrating and what are you releasing in your inner or outer garden?

Tree Cathedral

BirchTrees_1280px.jpg

Trees create sacred space - no wonder they are the gathering place for spiritual and indigenous communities from Druids to Keepers of the Forest in the Amazon. Trees communicate and support one another through their root systems and Mycorrhizae in the soil, as they clean the air. Today we are all invited to plant more trees, support international reforestation, buy only sustainable wood and paper products.

What can you let fall away as easily as a leaf in autumn to enrich your soul and deepen your roots?

Blessings all around you…

IMG_0996_SS.jpg

When we kneel to touch the ground as humble gardeners - weeding, planting, harvesting-we are in reverence for the Earth.  Every action we take can be of love & nurture of all living beings. This is the moment & our great calling to be of service for our Earth & all of life now & in future generations.

What connects you to the blessings all around you?

Living Joyfully

IMG_7996_Web.jpg

When our inner compass is set for joy and gratitude, challenges can be perceived as temporary and appreciation can be experienced each day.

It is my creative and spiritual practice to hold joy and grief or joy and fear equally so I can move through the challenge - maintaining authenticity and vulnerability. Today I celebrate keeping my compass set on joy and creativity.

What is inner your compass set for?
