I joyfully express what I love in three distinctive mediums. Each image has been inspired and influenced by my lifetime spent in nature, the garden, and international travel. This is a small sampling of my work, which is available for sale and exhibition. I have photographed Monet's gardens for 25 years, my photograph murals showed with Claude Monet paintings, in nine museums. Museums, corporations, hospitals, and private collectors collect my photographs. I make fine art prints as well as publishing and teaching photography workshops. View Photography by Elizabeth Murray. Whether painting on the cliffs of Big Sur, or from my inner garden, I bring my spirit and love of light, color, and form into each unique piece. I paint with oils and wax for transparency and luminosity onto canvas, French paper or wood panels. View Paintings by Elizabeth Murray. View the Art Flick.
I published Painterly Photography, Awakening the Artist Within 20 years ago and created a movement! A hybrid of photography and painting, employing a vintage Polaroid camera, painting on the enlarged image with oils, pastels, and colored pencils. Each print is hand-colored and unique. My work was featured in Photography West Gallery for 18 years in Carmel, California and has traveled in Japan. View Painterly Photography by Elizabeth Murray. View the Art Flick.
