Fundraiser for Ukraine Refugees

Peace in Ukraine. Peace in the World.

What we do matters in the world.

What we think, how we act, the love and care we can share makes a difference.

Sunflowers are the symbol of Ukraine and symbolize happiness, optimism, honesty, peace, admiration, loyalty and devotion. They are also the symbol for nuclear disarmament and in 1991 when the Soviet Union broke apart the new nation of Ukraine held the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons. In 1996, Ukraine committed to total nuclear disarmament. To honor the occasion, representatives from the US, Ukraine and Russia planted sunflowers in the location where there had been nuclear missile silos previously. They were planted for peace as well as for their special capability to absorb radioactive isotopes in the environment. Sunflowers have been planted at both the Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear disaster sites to help remove radioactive toxins from the environment. Let's plant sunflowers this spring, remembering each action we take can cultivate what we want to experience in the world.

Help feed the refugees of Ukraine by donating to the World Central Kitchen and I will send you a signed poster of your choice. Suggested donation of $100, or whatever you can afford.

Please email me your donation receipt and address and I will mail you the poster of your
choosing
( see below).

This fundraiser will run until April 15, 2022. Posters will be mailed out after the April deadline and you will receive your poster in a protective tube.

If you have any questions please email me direct.

Thank You and Blessings,

Elizabeth
